What is RSS?
RSS (Rich Site Summary) is a format for delivering regularly changing web content, allowing users to retrieve the lastest content from websites of interest. The CRSBI RSS feed will contain information about updates to CRSBI materials available on the website, and other items of interest.
How to subscribe to the CRSBI RSS Feed
To subscribe to the CRSBI RSS Feed address go to http://www.crsbi.ac.uk/news/news.xml. At the top of this page you are offered the option to subscribe to the feed using LiveBookmarks. Simply select the subscription option.
If your browser does not support LiveBookmarks or if you wish to install a different RSS Reader there are a number that are freely available, for example: Amphetadesk (Windows, Linux, Mac), FeedReader (Windows), and NewsGator (Windows - integrates with Outlook). There are also a number of web-based feed readers available such as: My Yahoo, Bloglines, and Google Reader.
Once you have installed the software you simply subscribe to the CRSBI feed, by entering the feed address (http://www.crsbi.ac.uk/news/news.xml) when prompted.
