VII History

Though the village is mentioned several times in the Domesday Survey, there is no record of a church here in 1086.

VIII Comments/Opinions

The S impost is of one piece of stone and is original; the central portion of N impost is good, but its E and W sections are renewed insertions. In addition to the cut back marks, chisel marks are visible on the N face of the S impost.
