II General Description
A small church consisting of nave and chancel. Blocked 13thc. arcade of N aisle visible in N wall of nave. Extensively rebuilt in 1860 by James Fowler. Chancel arch is probably Romanesque.

Plain jambs and single order, round arch. Imposts are chamfered only on their N and S sides, the other sides appear to have been cut back.

VII History
Though the village is mentioned several times in the Domesday Survey, there is no record of a church here in 1086.
VIII Comments/Opinions
The S impost is of one piece of stone and is original; the central portion of N impost is good, but its E and W sections are renewed insertions. In addition to the cut back marks, chisel marks are visible on the N face of the S impost.
