II General Description

A small and charming church comprising a single nave with a two bay crown-post roof and a slightly narrower chancel. An arch close to the W wall of the nave supports the weight of the bell turret. The chancel is separated from the nave by a screen, rood beam and plaster tympanum.

Font.

Located in S side of nave, corresponding to a blocked S doorway. A tub font of unidentified stone, with a roll around the rim and a circular, lead-lined basin. The lower part is chamfered in the manner of inverted scallops, eight in all, creating an octagonal base, which now sits on a cruciform pedestal. That stands on a low, irregularly-formed plinth. The tooling of the scallops is noticeably cruder than that of the rest of the font and may be secondary.
