Parish church
Haltham is a village in the East Lindsey district of Lincolnshire, 4 miles S of Horncastle and 17 miles E of Lincoln. The church, comprises a nave with N aisle and a chancel. Construction is of squared greenstone coursed rubble with limestone ashlardressings, and red brick patching and gables. The oldest parts are 12thc and its was restored in 1880 and 1891. It has been redundant since 1977, and is now in the care of the Churches Conservation Trust. Romanesque sculpture is found in the S nave doorway.
Parish church, former
Wood Enderby is a village in the East Lindsey district of Lincolnshire, 4 miles S of Horncastlle. It consists of a few houses clustered around a crossroads of narrow lanes in an arable farming landscape. The church is reached by a lane to the N of the village centre, and was made redundant in 1976. It is now closed and used as a store. The church was rebuilt in 1860 by George Hackford, and consists of a nave and chancel of greenstone and a W tower with a broach spire. Some masonry survives from the previous church on the site, but the only Romanesque sculprure is the bowl of a pillar piscina, resey in the chancel.
Parish church
Much of the church was rebuilt in 1879-80, by S. Hooper of Hatherleigh, although a late 14thc tower survives. The reset S doorway is the only 12thc carved feature.
