St Giles is a small late 13thc. church, restored in 1876. It is most famous for the Roman figure of Aesculapius set in the south wall of the nave. The only 12thc. carving is the font.
The DB only records that Algar held 1 hide paying geld in Tockenham.
The concrete shaft of the font is modern.
