Wysall is a village 11 mi S of Nottingham. Holy Trinity is a parish church mostly of the 13th-14thc consisting of a chancel, clerestoried nave, S aisle, S porch and W tower with spire. The W tower and spire is 13th century, the chancel 14th century whilst the S arcade and the clerestory are 15th century. Restorations in 1873 when the aisle and porch were rebuilt, with further restoration in 1909. The N wall of the nave is largely Romanesque work, together with nave and chancel doors.
A church at Wysall is mentioned in the Domesday survey where it is listed in the lands of Roger de Bully. The church later passed into the possession of Worksop Priory.
The window in the N wall of the nave is much restored. The sculpture here is minimal, which suggests that resources were scarce here in the 11th-12thc.
