Description

A small church with plastered E Norman nave, and 13thc. chancel. The only Romanesque feature is the blocked N doorway, visible only on the outside.

History

Exhall ("Ecleshelle") features in Domesday, but a priest is not mentioned. The church was dedicated by Simon, Bishop of Worcester (1125-35) as a chapelry of Salford. As the Canons of Kenilworth held Salford, they had the Advowson of Exhall. [VCH]

Comments/Opinions
