Description

The church consists of chancel, nave, N and S aisles and W tower, the detail predominantly 13thc. except for the very lavish 14thc. N aisle and the Transitional S arcade. The church also has a 12thc font.

History

There are references to a chaplain of Ducklington in the 1170s, and to a parson of Ducklington in about 1210. Ducklington was the mother church of Cokethorpe (q.v.).

The lavish use of miniature nailhead associates the late 12thc. work at Ducklington with that at Cokethorpe, its daughter church; both were possibly in the patronage of the same families.
