Description

The 12thc church no longer survives. The present church was built c.1849, a little to the north of the site of the medieval one. It comprises a chancel with S chapel, a nave and N porch.

History

Noted as ‘Tincladene’ in the Domesday Book, with a population of 6 households. The church (as is typical) is not mentioned, but nor does it in the 1291 Taxatio so was probably worth under 2 marks.
