Description

A parish church consisting of a chancel, nave, S aisle, S porch and W tower. Most of the fabric is 14thc. The S arcade and the S doorway are late 12thc. or early 13thc.

History

No mention is made of Hayton in the Domesday Survey.

Pevsner remarks on the similarity of the capital of pier 1 with work at Worksop Priory and the similar use of dogtooth ornament. The E and W responds appear to be later, probably 14thc.
