Comments/Opinions

Similar chevron with beaded mouldings and with foliage decoration in the triangles is found in the arch of the W doorway at nearby Donaghmore (Tipperary). There are other examples at Monaincha (Tipperary), Killaloe and Tuamgraney (Clare), Annaghdown (Galway), Clonmacnoise and Rahan (Offaly), Killeshin (Laois), and Wicklow. More unusual is the use of curved limping chevron, which is also found at Monaincha, Killaloe and Tuamgraney.
