Comments/Opinions

An antiquarian drawing of a carved bowl (a mortar?) with heads on the corners is assigned to Wisborough Green (Historic England Archive red boxes, unattributed and undated but possibly from The Gentleman's Magazine). Its present whereabouts are unknown.

In 1937 it was reported that the Vicar had discovered the early Norman altar, which was reinstated (Burton Observer 2 December 1937, 3).
